Homosexual identities is described as a pattern of attraction to other persons of the same sex. The term lesbian is commonly used to refer to homosexual women, and the term gay is commonly used to refer to homosexual men, although gay is sometimes used to refer to women as well.

A transgender individual is someone who doesn't identify as their biological sex. They may be born as a woman but identify as male, or vice versa. Some trans people may change their appearance and name, perhaps undergoing surgery to appear as a different gender. For example, a female to male trans man may wear a chest binder to hide his breasts or have "top surgery" to remove said breasts.

Transsexuals typically believe that they have to undergo medical transition to be happy with their appearance. A male to female trans woman may have breast implants to give herself breasts.

Lastly, homosexuals are people who only date people that are the same gender as they are. Some examples include gay men, lesbian women, or non-binary people who only date fellow genderqueer individuals.
