Hi brainly users dont report this.

Were in the car driving back from a nice family day at the pumpkin patch. Were hungry we stink of farm animal corn kernels in our pockets hay in our hair. We arived home. We take off our shoes in the garage since they are covered in dirt. I dont remember what i said or asked. But whatever it was... My dads response was "Children are ment to be seen not heard". I go inside to serve myself some leftover steak and potatoes. I cant hold it anymore. I run into my grandmas arms and burst into tears. Later im taking my hair ties out and turning on the shower. My dad apolagises but this is a usual thing he says to me.

The saying "Children are ment to be seen not hear" Means us children dont deserve to have right opinions or a voice to speak out of how we feel.

Is this ok? What will it lead me to? ddddddd-depresion?!

Respuesta :

this is NEVER okay. as children or young adults , things like this have lasting affects on us and when the tension builds up , it spews out over people who never harmed up.

Answer:

Hmm... I think that your dad is trying to explain to you how to deal with certain situations in which the one's you are uncomfortable in, but if you are not comfortable with this, maybe sit down and have a talk with him. This most likely will not lead you to depression, but if it gets to serious, again talk with him.
