Answer:

The 2 main reasons were economic and religious reasons

Economic because the British wanted to expand their kingdom into new lands. It would also make the British more wealthy but that is not what happens because the colonists gain their independence. It was also an oppurtunity for new businesses and jobs

Religious because many people were discriminated against due to their religion. So they made the pilgrimage to the U.S and we know them as pilgrims.
