this is a very very complex game so the way I play obviously HP is hit points and the damage you just take off. you obviously need this necessary energy to do the move you want to do. and the abilities can be useful but if you want to play a proper game it can be very pricey to have the right cards and a full deck of playing cards, you also need to use coins, items, stadiums etc so what I do, I collect packs discard the energy and people say you flip a coin to see you start but actually in the video games the fastest Pokémon deals the first hit.
