I think he is the Beldams son but the beldam didnt wanna eat him so she turned him into a cat.The Beldams son is the "Boring Blue Boy" he lived in the other world with the beldam so he has know where each portal lies.So he helps the Beldams victims, the Beldam is not a fan of her son cause cats eat spiders and she wants to avoid him.
