I got the question incorrect please tell me what I did wrong and give me the correct answer

so when finding the x-int always set y=0
so:
0= 1/2x +4
multiply everything by 2 to get rid of that fraction!
and now/
0= x+8

subtract 8 from both sides and u get:
x=-8
