No it's not.
Time zones were a concept made by people so depending where you are in the word the time of day will correspond with the time on your clock. If there were not time zones if its 1 PM on one side of the earth it will be the middle of the day but on the other side of the world it will be late in the night. Time zones don't have any physical boundaries.
