1) I put arms span as the x value and height for y, because in the chart that's how it is most commonly read. X values on the left and Y values on the right.
2) To solve for slope you can pick two points and solve like so. (37, 39) (47, 49) to get 10/10 you can simplify it to be 1. To create the equation you would plug in the x and y values for y=mx+b where m is the solved slope.
39 = 1(37) + b
39 = 37 + b
2 = b
y = x + 2 (1x is the same as x)
3) The slope represents the increasing between the chosen coordinates.
4) The y-intercept is where the line graphing the two points cross the y-axis.
5) The line that would best fit would be crossing through the origin. There are about 4 coordinate points that would approximately be accurate.

7)Since we mentioned before that the arm span would be the x-value we can replace 66 inches for the x in the equation. It would look like this,

y = 68
So the person's height could possibly be 68 inches.
8) To find the arm span you would replace the height of 74 inches with y in the equation so it becomes....
74 = x + 2
72 = x
This means that the person's arm span could be about 72 inches.
