In the first picture the communication breakdown is due to sound and noise pollution of the vehicles and cars over a busy street. He cannot hear the voice in the mobile as it is diminished due to outside noises of horns etc.

In the second picture the communication breakdown is due to high volume of the TV or computer etc. The high volume makes the two persons unable to interpret the right words e.g blow could be heard as flow and so on.

In the third picture the communication break down is due to anger and words are being misinterpreted or misunderstood between two people.They are unable to deliver their meanings rightfully to each other as a result of being emotional or some mismanagement e.g shouting , yelling etc.

Picture 1: Here, the lady is seen conversing on the phone with somebody at a distance while walking on the motorway. The breakdown of communication is traced to the unfavorable environment. The environment creates noise, making her unable to hear clearly what the other speaker is saying.

Picture 2: The man and the woman watching television while talking experience communication breakdown as a result of distraction. Without listening, there is no communication.

Picture 3: The husband and the wife have lost trust in each other. Trust is fundamental in a married relationship. Their communication with each other breaks down because of their emotional attitude towards each other.

Thus, many reasons account for the breakdown of communication. The environment, distractions, and emotional attitudes can cause problems for effective communication.
