Third Amendment.

Explanation:

Before the American colonists were independent, they were ruled by the British. Great Britain would abuse their power onto the colonists, taxing them unfairly and belittling them through treatment. British troops were usually housed in the colonist's homes, which the colonists were not happy with. They felt as if it was an invasion of privacy and they should have a say in what they do.

The Quartering Act was passed in 1765 and made it so the colonists had to house the British troops if needed, they could not get a say in it. This also meant that the colonists were responsible for feeding and supplying British soldiers, which angered the colonists even more.
