Since the initial height must be a person standing 1.5 meters that means the actual amount traveled is only 3.5 meters in the air if we are not counting the 1.5 meters from the ground.

The displacement is 1.5m (west) because the ball started above the ground by 1.5m it made it so the displacement wouldn't be zero
