About  this period, we can agree and disagree with some practices as follows:

• Expansionism wanted to optimize the country, through riches and conquests.
• It also allowed American culture to spread around the world.
• These goals are positive as they would promote good for society.
• However, expansionism was carried out with great violence.
• Exploitation was intense, causing invasions and suppressing local cultures.
• These aspects are very reprehensible, as they prove to be oppressive and cause problems for other societies.

Furthermore, expansionism caused a large economic expense that was not always rewarded, mainly because of the suffering it caused to other peoples.
