A racquet organ is a type of organ found in some arthropods
Some arthropods, especially those such as sun spiders have very advanced sensory organs that allow them to move around, feed, defend, etc. which are basic functions the animal needs to perform to survive.
One of the most unique organs in these animals is the racquet organ, this is an organ has a similar shape to the one of a racquet and acts as a chemoreceptor.
This means the racquet organ can detect certain changes in the environment such as changes in temperature or act as a sensory organ and this would determine the behavior of the arthropod.
