Vulture are known as non-predators or scavengers because they don't hunt live animals. The bird prefers to wait for other predators to hurt, then launch on the body of the dead animal.
A vulture have a huge & have sharp talons. They are usually big in size and can be confused to be a great predator, whereas it is not
Benefit of the vultures to the environment are:
- Vulture serves as friends to farmers because they aid the decomposition of bodies and this help to improve the soil as well.
- Vultures helps to remove large amounts of decaying meat which could have cause contamination of water and air pollution to the environment
- Vultures eat & sterilize contaminated meat. Result of this prevent the spread of disease in the environment
