The ways it could have been avoided was the British being more lenient about who America traded with, and the taxation on certain items and trades. America might not have rebelled if certain propaganda (The exaggeration of the Boston Massacre) or literature (common sense) was not released to sway the Americans into fighting. The colonies would be still very different from how it was today, Americans have discovered the most ground breaking concepts and items we use today because of our encouragement of freedom, in a way we lead the world with our policies and beliefs, we are types of role models, and if we were still a part of Britain, all of the contributions and breakthroughs we have had probably would not exist

If the American Revolution didn't happen a lot would be different. Some big things that would be different are we would still be under the control of the British government, and we wouldn't have as much land. One main way the British government could have avoided the American Revolution was to show some representation of the colonist. Our world would probably look totally different if the original 13 colonies hadn't rebelled for the reasons I listed above.
