the kkk was an organization that committed many hate crimes against different groups of people. they used violence and terror as an attempt to restore white supremacy. they used it as a way to control what colored people could or couldn’t do. for example, they used terror for political reasons. they did not want any colored people to participate in political party’s or have a right to be part of the political society. the kkk was responsible for many black peoples death.
