Explanation:

Water is not an unlimited source, yet people are treating it as such. There are various reasons why today when we have so much knowledge and various technologies, water is scarce.

Firstly, with climate changes and pollution, clean drinking water as a source is decreasing. Climate changing is making water disappear globally, with more and more evaporating. Because of the pollution, so much of the water is so dirty and contaminated, and it is no longer possible to clean it anymore. At the same time, the population is growing and needs more and more water that can’t be provided.

Additionally, it is known that some countries have more water resources than others. Some suffer witch water shortage because of natural reasons, such as their country not being positioned well regarding water sources.

Other reasons can be human-made, such as the privatization of water and water sources. This is happening in few African countries where the government or various (most likely foreign) companies have privatized water resources for production, using them, and not leaving much for the poor population of these countries that can’t afford bottled water. An example is Ghana; in this country, as much as a third of the population couldn’t afford water as the prices have increased after the privatization in the 90s.
