Many types of cells, such as the ones in this activity, live together in groups, called tissues. A tissue is a group of similar cells that together carry out a specific function.

Describe how the skin cells, neurons, muscle cells, and blood cells you have observed relate to the functions of skin, nerve, muscle, and blood tissue

Respuesta :

Multicellular organisms, like people, are made up of many cells. Cells are considered the fundamental units of life. The cells in complex multicellular organisms like people are organized into tissues, groups of similar cells that work together on a specific task.

Description of the various cells to their functions of their tissues such as skin cells, neurons, muscle cells, and blood cells and function of skin, nerve, muscle, and blood tissue are as follows:

Skin cells relate to the functions of the skin:

1. functions:

  • it acts as a protective barrier
  • a sensory organ,
  • a layer prevents nutrients and water
  • thermoregulation

2. types of cells in the skin:

  • epidermis - waterproof barrier
  • basement membrane
  • dermis - secrets sweat and oil, sensation and blood to the skin, grows hair receptors to detect pain, temperature
  • subcutaneous tissue - controls body temperature and stores fat

Neurons related to nerves:

1. cells and their functions:

made up of

  • axons - nerve has many axons
  • glycocalyx - present in endoneurium
  • endoneurial fluid - surrounds the fiber
  • endoneurium - a connective tissue that covers axons
  • perineurium - it covers the bundles of axons or fascicle
  • epineurium - the entire nerve covered with epineurium
  • nerves carry impulses

Muscle cells relate to muscle:

  • made up of elongated muscle fibers that are cells
  • provides movements of our body
  • has a special protein that assists in the contraction and relaxation

Blood cells related to blood tissue:

  • blood is a connective tissue made up of blood cells RBC and WBC suspended in matrix plasma
  • RBCs transport respiratory gases and nutrients,
  • leucocytes for immunity
  • platelets for clotting of blood
