And one more drawing of a object like a cup or a hammer,action figures that is fully shaded image has weight volume and shadows with darks and lights and mid tones (grays) include highlights details out lining shadow if see.
The easiest thing to do in you situation would be to use references from other drawings or real pictures, and make sure you use a consistent light source. Sorry if this doesn't answer you question but these are some tips.
