When using a wrench if you double the length of the wrench (effort arm), you have ______ the required force to do the same amount of work.
a. halved
b. Quartered
c. tripled
d. doubled

Respuesta :

You would half the amount of force. The closer you are to the center of mass, the more force is required. Think of opening a door, but trying to do it at the hinge. It would be most likely impossible. Or try rotating one of those roundabout things at the park near the center. You’re gonna have to apply a lot more force on the system than what you would have to apply to the bars away from the center
