This might not be right, but I think it has something to do with the dominant and recessive traits!
Let’s say the mom has red fur ( Recessive ) and the dad has green fur ( Dominate)

I don’t know if that made sense but that’s like a table of like recessive trait things with dominant I don’t even know if that’s gonna pop up how I wanted to on the screen but it’s like the dominant trait will override the recessive trait if that even make sense like brown eyes are more popular than blue eyes if your mom has brown eyes and your dad has blue eyes you’re most likely to get brown eyes because it’s more dominant

The characteristics of the offspring depends on the characteristics of the parents.
According to Mendel, the units of inheritance located in the chromosomes is called genes. Genes occur in pairs called alleles. Usually, in each pair of alleles, one gene is dominant and the other is recessive.
Let us assume there is a particular animal that could have green or blue color. The Green color is represented by the gene G while the blue color is represented by the gene g.
The fur color of the offspring depends on the fur color of the parents. Assuming the green fur color is dominant, parents that have Gg and GG will hive birth to offspring in which all the fur colors are green.
