answer: A, -4, 3

you set up the equation by making it equal to zero. so it’s x^2 + x - 12 = 0

then you solve for x

you do this by factoring. you do this by saying what multiplies to -12 and then adds up to 1 since your a times c is -12 and your b is 1

4 and -3 work. so we do (x+4) (x-3) = 0

(x+4) = 0 is -4
(x-3) = 0 is 3

so your answer is A, -4, 3
