The points which are also on the line.
Solution:
The line models a proportional relationship.

[tex]y=kx[/tex] ...(i)
where, k is constant of proportionality.
Put x=2 and y=6 in the above equation.
[tex]6=k(2)[/tex]
Divide both sides by 2.
[tex]\dfrac{6}{2}=k[/tex]
[tex]k=3[/tex]
Put k=3 in equation (i).
[tex]y=3x[/tex]
We can say that the point whose y-coordinate is 3 times of its x-coordinate, are the point which are lie on the line.
For example: (1,3), (3,3), (-1,-3) etc.
So, the equation of line is [tex]y=3x[/tex]. All the points which satisfy this equation represents the points on the line.
