Restatements of the Law is a process that aims to reiterate legal existing laws of a particular area. They are initiated by the American Law Institute(ALI) composed of qualified lawyers, professors and judges.
Restatements are compiled by the ALI when certain existing laws are unclear and complex. After the restatements are compiled, the ALI provides the most appropriate and articulated rules and laws which are accepted and agreed upon by most jurisdictions.
