The Australian wildfire are by far the worst wild fire seen in decades, with the large swaths of the country devastated since the fire season began in late July. At least 28 people have died nationwide and around 3,000 homes have been destroyed or damaged. The effect of the wildfire are devastating because some of their water has and might be contaminated due to the debris. The effects of the fires on the forests and ecosystems are uncanny, there was about 8.9 million acres are scorched. Then the estimated period of time is about 4,000 years before the forest are to be recovered due to the recovering the native and rare species that are unique to the original forest. The effect are brutal and we should just imagine the cost of rebuilding the houses an land is about 100 Billion. The cause of the deadly fires were fueled by a combination of extreme heat, prolonged drought and strong winds. The record breaking temperatures lasted over 3 months and the wind speeds were recorded at about 60 miles per hour. There have been downpours in the states of Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, which have all been badly hit by the bush fire crisis. Since then all wildfires in Australia have been extinguished though there hasn’t been much change in the scorched forest.
