  • pH value of acids are betwee 0 and 7 while in bases the pH value os between 7 and 14

  • acid is called a proton donor while a base is called a proton acceptor

  • base can accept a proton while an acid can accept an electron pair

  • acids are substance that give off hydrogen ions to form hydronium (H30) ions when dissolved in water while bases are substances that contain hydroxide (OH) ions when in water
