Because I've been celebrating Lunar New Year every year since I was born, it means a lot to me. During the Lunar New Year, we are given red envelopes containing money or chocolate, which are handed to children by the elderly. Sugary dishes are vital because they are thought to sweeten prospects for the future year. Fireworks are also prevalent and are traditionally believed to chase away bad luck and spirits. Chinese culture fascinates me since it is so lovely.
