Positive changes accomplished by Reconstruction were diminished over time because some people still refused to treat Blacks equally. This caused a difficulty in enforcing the new laws. Thank you for posting your question. I hope this answer helped you. Let me know if you need more help.

Answer:

Blacks were still not treated equally by some group of people.

Explanation:

Between the years of 1865 and 1877, there was a period of time that is called or known as the era Reconstruction. The period of time known as the Reconstruction era is that period after the Civil war in the United States of America.

One of the reasons that period of time is known as the era of Reconstruction is that it was the period of time in which laws were made in order for the blacks to be treated equally as the white people of the United States.

But despites this laws, some people created things such as the Black Codes to maltreat the blacks and because of things like this, the positive changes accomplished by Reconstruction diminished over time.
