Although this is still an exact calculation, most people would automatically understand better in the fraction form of 3/16, so it is better to switch it back. This can be done either on your own or with a calculator, most scientific calculators have the ability anyways so it shouldn't be a big deal. In the end, if the pizza has 16 slices, each student gets 3, if it has 8, then each student gets 1 1/2.
