The birth rate decreases.

As the developing countries get industrialized the birth rate tends to fall. This is because, with economic growth and development, people have better access to medical facilities, birth control, and education.  

The employment opportunities increase and the cost of raising children increases as well. All of this causes the birth rate to decline.
