For a field trip 4 students rode in cars and the rest filled nine buses. How many students were in each bus if 472 students were on the trip?

I'm going to give you both answer and how I found it if you ever have to do this again except in simple steps not the common core steps

Step 1: 472-4=468

Step 2: 468 divided by 9= 52

The answer would be there is fifty two students per bus.
