Simplify the polynomial-

-3f²+4f-3+8f²+7f+1

Please help!!

I don't understand how to do this or anything with Polynomials really and I really need someone to explain in the easiest way possible!!

The answer is:

5f^2+11f-2

Explanation: All you would have to do is combine the like terms. For example; -3f^2 amd 8f^2 are both like terms because they both have the same variables and powers. Ignore the variables and powers for a second. Look at the coefficients. -3 and 8 are to be added since the 8 is a positive. Once you add them, the result will be 11f^2. You need to remember to add back the variable and power. It just seems easier that way. There is also another like term in the polynomial. 4f and 7f. You add those to get 11f. The last like term in the polynomial is -3 and 1. You add -3 to 1 and you get -2.

I hope this explanation made sense to you as I tried my best to explain it! :)
