Question

this is not school related but i could really use help. i recently got a top, that i cant return, and the straps are to long. could someone, who knows what they're doing, walk me through the steps of making them shorter? i have some experience with basic sewing skills. i dont have a sewing machine, but i have a needle and thread and fabric glue. if someone could help me it would be very much appreciated :) i attached pictures and below is a little description.

AE square neck cropped tank top
size small
it has two layers of fabric and is pretty thick

Fold the straps on a side where the strap ends to your wanting length and just sew it multiple times till a clean hold.

You have to fold the straps and if you don’t want the fold to be visible fold them under the back of the shirt
