y = mx + b

 

m = (-3 - 6)/(4 + 2) = -9/6 = -3/2

 

y = (-3/2)x + b

 

6 = (-3/2)(-2) + b

 

6 = 3 + b

 

b = 3

 

y = (-3/2)x + 3
