"Last Monday, my classmates and I participated in what is called a "work experience day." This is a day in which students pretend to be workers in order to learn more about what this entails. We went to the shopping mall, and we were assigned different tasks at different shops. I was a cashier at a fast food restaurant, while my friends worked in clothes shop or in the parking lot.

The experience was very rewarding. I learned to be on time, and to follow instructions. I also learned that it is very important to listen to your customers in order to do a good job. More importantly, the experience taught me the value of money, and that allowed me to understand how hard my parents work to provide for me. The only thing I would suggest for next year is that, instead of the experience lasting a day, it should last a whole week."
