Two simultaneous equations
are given as 2x + y = 5 and 3x +
y = 7. Find the value of x and y.​

using elimination method

2x + Y = 5

3x + Y = 7

subtracting equation 2..from 1

X = 2

then substitute X to get Y

2(2) + Y = 5

4 + Y = 5

Y = -1
