  • On the one hand, by recognizing that there is a situation of disadvantage on the part of one social group with respect to another, these laws guarantee compliance with the human rights of the disadvantaged party, in such a way that the government protects citizens with respect to of abuse and violence by others.
  • On the other hand, the recognition of gender violence as a social conflict implies that the government gives priority to the situation, putting it on the public agenda and giving it a social notoriety that makes society as a whole try to prevent conflict situations.
