Answer: Continuing to play if you have an injury can make that injury worse. A small stress fracture that might have healed quickly can grow into a more serious, more painful fracture that will take longer to heal. Returning to play too soon after a concussion increases your risk of serious brain injury.

It is important to stop playing after sustaining an injury because if you continue to play, the body will not the rest to heal. Stress will make it worse, and then it will take more time to heal.
What is an injury?
Injury is any damage to the body or cells, which cause pain to scratch or cut and when blood came out of the body. Injury can be severe to normal, severe injury needs immediate treatment otherwise excess blood loss will leads to death.
After any injury, our body requires rest to heal the wounds and recovery of new cells over the dead cells take sometime and nutrient, so eating light and healthy also helps in early recovery.
Thus, after getting hurt, it's crucial to quit playing because if you don't, your body won't have time to heal. Stress will aggravate it, which will prolong the healing process.
