What is the domain and range of the rainbow (parabola f(x) -x^2 + 36). Explain what the domain and range represent. Do all of the values make sense in this situation? Why or why not?

Respuesta :

The domain refers to the set of x values that make the function true while range refers to the set of y values that make the function true.

In this case wherein f(x) -x^2 + 36, the domain is the left most and right most x values on the graph. The range is the lower most and upper most y values in the graph.

Answer:

The domain would be infinite and the rang would be anything less than 36. The domain represents the length of the rainbow and the range represents the height. Not all of the values make sense because the rainbow would technically end at the horizon so if the x axis was the horizon the domain would be -6≤x≤6 and the range would be 0≤x≤36.
