The difference of a fight and a challenge is a fight you actually fighting for something, which also means people can get hurt, and/or killed. For example, I would say, "Since you put your hand on my sister ill put my hands on you."  A challenge is someone giving you somewhat of a test. For example, I could say," I challenge you to a game of basketball".
