The spanish were motivated by the sheer force of understanding that their was more to the world yet also they thought of a economic opportunity’s such as spices and gold and other tradeable goods, the consequences which were pretty severe as they brought over diseases, guns, and cultures, culture as an they destroyed Native American culture
