How brainly app is earning money if there are no in-app purchases or the way how we could pay for any services within the app?

I think Brainly makes their money through ads on the app and website. I have ad Block so i dont know if they have ads on the website

every time someone downloads the app the owners or creators of brainly get paid. it's like when a new album comes out, everytime someone buys it the artist gets paid
