The answer to this problem will have to be –8 < x < 8. apparently the answer could be choice A or B. The numbers that belong here could be -7,-6,-5, -4,-3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,6 and 7. This also includes numbers that are irrational and rational in between the integers
we know that
1) the phrase all real numbers that are greater than [tex]-8[/tex]
represent the inequality-------> [tex]x> -8[/tex]
2) the phrase all real numbers that are less than [tex]8[/tex]
represent the inequality-------> [tex]x< 8[/tex]
therefore
3) the complete phrase all real numbers that are greater than [tex]-8[/tex] and less than [tex]8[/tex]
represent the compound inequality------> [tex]-8 < x < 8[/tex]
the solution is the interval-----> (-8,8)
