so, first you would need to make them have a common denominator which is 16. 7/8 = 14/16 and 3/16. If I read this right, the answer could be anything in between the two numbers. Like 4/16, 5/16, 6/16, etc.

Well, one end of that space is  3/16, and the other end is  7/8.

But  7/8  is exactly the same as  14/16 .

So inside that space you'll find any number of sixteenths,
from  3  of them all the way to  14  of them.

If you're good at handling fractions, you'll find that all of
these measurements are in there too:

3/8, 5,8
all the thirty-seconds, from  7/32  to  27/32
