Sam went to see Garry to go to meet his friends. They went on an adventure to the backyard. They had to open the door. They saw clothes outside. They played a game and had to hang there. There was an old car at the back of the garden which they went to see but their mother told them that their father needed to fix it.

Sam sees Garry open the door to the backyard. "Ready for an adventure?" Garry asks. Confused, Sam says "What are you talking about? We can't go on an an adventure...your mother is supposed to drive us over to Lucy's house in like 30 minutes." "30 minutes is plenty of time...now let's go," Gary says determined. Sam hesitantly agrees, wondering what has gotten into Gary. As they walk into the woods, Sam asks, "What exactly are we venturing out for anyways?" "You'll see" Gary replies. After stumbling around in the woods for a little while, Gary finally finds what he's looking for. "I found it!" Gary says absolutely stoked. "Found what?" Sam asks. He picks up a small turtle lying under a log, "My pet turtle Smoople. I was playing with him in the backyard yesterday evening...I went inside for dinner leaving Smoople outside expecting him to be fine. When I came back after only five minutes, Smoople was gone. I knew he must've gotten lost somewhere in the woods. I wanted to go out and search for him yesterday, but my father wouldn't let me go in the woods at night. I'm just so happy I found him!" "Good thing you found him...he might've gotten eaten by wolves or something if we left him out here any longer. We should probably get back to the house now; It's almost time to go," Sam says. They make it back to the house. Gary goes to his room to put Smoople back in his cage as Sam waits by the front door. "We're ready, mom!" Gary says. "Okay, let me hang up these clothes real quick! I'll be right there!" Gary's mother yells from the other room. "When we meet up with Lucy, we have to tell her all about our adventure," Gary tells Sam. "Why?" Sam asks, "All we did is find your dumb turtle." "Hey!" Gary replies, "Fix your attitude! You know Smoople is special to me." "Ready boys?" Gary's mother asks. "Yes, ma'am." They make their way into the car. Several minutes into the car ride, Sam whispers to Gary, "I'm sorry I said that stuff about Smoople a minute ago. I know he's more than just a dumb turtle." "It's okay," Sam whispers back smiling, "I know you didn't mean it."
