time, the US and the USSR had become suspicious of each other. What reasons did the
United States have to be suspicious of the Russians following WWII? Ideology? Yalta?

3. In 1948 the Berlin blockade caused tension between the US and the Russians. What
was the Berlin Blockade? How did the US counter the Berlin Blockade?
4. In 1962 the U.S. And the U.S.S.R. almost went to war in Cuba. Why? Why would the
United States be so concerned with Cuba?

The US did not like the Soviet Union because of communism and the US tried to minimize the spread of communism which lead to the Cold War. The blockade of Cuba which almost lead the US and Soviet Union into war because the USSR was establishing a middle system in Cuba to be able to target the US. Berlin was split between the USSR and the allies that’s why there was a wall to separate the two regions that are under USSR and under the allies/ NATO
