Surface area of the sphere is different from the surface area of cone or cylinder in the calculation, as there is requirement of only radius whereas in others, there is requirement of radius as well as height of cone or cylinder.

How to find the surface area of Sphere, Cone, and Cylinder?

- For Cylinder, Curve Surface Area [tex]SA = 2\pi rh[/tex] , where r is radius and h is height.
- For Cone, Curve Surface Area [tex]SA = \pi rl[/tex] , where r is radius and l is slant height and is given by [tex]l = \sqrt{r^2 + h^2}[/tex] .
Thus, for finding the surface area of sphere, there is requirement of only one dimension i.e. radius whereas in case of cylinder and cone, there is requirement of two dimensions radius and height.
