Question:
What could they learn from being called names?
Answer: If a young individual get called rude remarks throughout their adolescence (or anyone of any age for the fact of the matter) they will learn that this behavior is okay and will become normalized to them. As a result, they will imitate the same behavior shown to them to others. Being called names can also lead them to make extreme actions. For example, if someone has been called fat all their life by others they might develop an eating disorder. This rude treatment can also cause mental illnesses such as anxiety or depression.
