I think selling the books would be a better deal because, you would have people walking in the library and looking at all different types of books.
I don't think hosting a car wash would work as good as selling books because people would just show up to get there car washed and not actually to buy books.

Answer:
I believe that the library committee should choose the second proposal. The first states that there should be a book sale to raise money, but not everybody enjoys books. It is important to get people interested in reading, but not the best way to earn money. The second proposal suggests having a car wash, and this is the better choice. The library can use high school students as volunteers to wash the cars, and even pay them a small amount of money to teach them workplace values and saving for the future. People who like books and who do not like them can come and get there car washed. They may even become interested in books and decide to come back to the library to check books out. The charged fee could be a low price, so it is a fun way to raise money and fun for the volunteers. This is why the second proposal is the smartest option to raise money.
Explanation: My opinion though.
