In both The Lord of the Flies and the Corona virus, people are separated from society and have to fend for themselves.
Due to being cooped up together for a long period of time, people begin to start fighting with one another, and personalities collide.
In the book, the boys didn't take being stranded very seriously in the beginning, and neither did most people when the Corona virus was first introduced.
By the end of the book, the boys in the book had lost all hope in ever being rescued and had gone insane. While we may not have gone insane quite yet, many have lost hope that this virus is going to get cured any time soon.
People are dying and others are not taking it seriously in both cases.
